Porter Novelli wins Awards for Hispanic assignments.

Porter Novelli announced it won two awards at the 2012 PR News Platinum Awards, which salute the year’s most outstanding communications initiatives and programs. The winners were announced at a luncheon in New York City on September 14.

Porter Novelli won in the following categories:

o PR On a Shoestring, for the “Yo SOY” Hispanic campaign of behalf of SOYJOY

o Research & Measurement, together with PRIME Research, for “Changing Behavior Through PR: Earned Media Boosts Campaign Effectiveness During Medicare Open Enrollment, on behalf of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

“We are delighted to have our work recognized by PR News with Platinum Awards,” said Michael Ramah, acting CEO, Porter Novelli. “We excel in creating programming that not only reaches the right audiences, but fosters relationships with brands and organizations that ultimately result in stakeholders taking action.”

Additionally, Porter Novelli announced today it won two awards at the first annual “PR Daily Awards presented by Ragan and Dow Jones.” The awards were announced at luncheon at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. PRDaily.com is the No. 1 international online news site in the industry.

Porter Novelli won in the following categories:

o Best PR White Paper, for Census: It’s All in the Numbers, a thought leadership piece on the economic potential of the Hispanic demographic

o Best Infographic, which accompanied “Census: It’s all in the Numbers” and illustrated the economic potential of the Hispanic demographic

“Both the white paper and the infographic on the 2010 Census numbers were developed to shed light on the vast opportunity for businesses with the Hispanic market,” said Michael Ramah, acting CEO, Porter Novelli. “We know this demographic – already in excess of 50 million and three-quarters of which fall into the highly prized 18 to 49 year old segment – is ripe for building beneficial and long-term relationships with brands.
